New Moon Doula Services is ran by Kendria Miller, a certified doula. With a focus on providing holistic, nurturing support for Black families, New Moon Doula needed a website and brand that accurately reflected the calming, healing nature of Kendria’s work.
The logo I came up with is a sans-serif typeface that I edited for continuity and flow. One of the ‘O’s in the word moon is comprised of several half moons in the abstract shape of a pregnant woman while also fully incorporating the brand colors. The result is a visually appealing logo that immediately communicates exactly what New Moon Doula Services is about.
The brand color story is a combination of Kendria’s favorite color (purple) with other soothing colors that bring up a feeling of peace. It is also a nod to the galaxy (since the moon is up there).
The website is built on WordPress and features clean, functional design and a focus on back-end functionality for Kendria.
